CSR PROGRAMS

Mphasis F1 Foundation delivers high-impact programs through two strategic portfolios. Each combines innovation, research, and community-focused interventions to create scalable and sustainable impact.


Tech-Enabled Social Mobility

This portfolio brings together education, skills, technology, inclusion, innovation, research, and leadership development to advance social mobility for underserved groups.

 

Programs Include:


  • Akanksha Foundation
    Mphasis partnered with Akanksha to strengthen public school systems and build innovative, high-performing schools within the government framework. Akanksha empowers children from underserved communities with the knowledge, skills, and values to break the cycle of poverty and realize their potential. Through long-term engagement from ages 4 to 25, it ensures holistic development and lasting impact.

  • Training and Educational Centre for Hearing Impaired (TEACH)
    Mphasis supports TEACH in empowering Deaf and Hard of Hearing students through higher education, skill development, and language training. Its structured graduation pathway equips learners with the knowledge and skills for independence and successful employment.

  • Mphasis AI & Robotics Lab – SHINE Foundation
    Mphasis and SHINE Foundation established the AI & Robotics Lab at Sahyadri’s Centre for Future Leaders. This 4,000 sq. ft. lab drives collaboration among tech talent, innovators, and businesses to create impactful solutions using advanced technologies like Agential AI, Cloud Computing, Robotics, Computer Vision, Edge AI, IIoT, and Web 3.0.

  • EU-India Ideathon - BCKIC
    Mphasis partnered with BCKIC for the EU-India Ideathon, fostering collaboration between EU and Indian innovators from academia, startups, businesses, and policymakers to tackle marine plastic pollution. The initiative drives impactful solutions and strengthens EU-India ties in environmental sustainability.

  • CEQUE (Centre for Equity and Quality in Universal Education)
    Mphasis’ partnership with CEQUE helps transform classroom teaching and improve student learning in government and low-income private schools. Through its Teacher Innovator Program, CEQUE has coached over 550 teachers across 400 schools, impacting more than 11,000 children. It also mentors school leaders and creates open-source videos of innovative lessons filmed in real classrooms.

  • Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB)
    Mphasis partners with IIT Bombay’s TRUST Lab to advance privacy-enhanced fintech security through AI-enabled cybersecurity, quantum cryptography, and digital infrastructure security. The lab promotes research and innovation, addresses emerging challenges like cybersecurity, and drives structured skilling through academic cohorts and training programs, enabling interdisciplinary projects with sustainable social impact.

  • Mphasis Centre for Quantum Information, Communication and Computing (MCQuICC) at IIT Madras
    The center advances quantum technologies for secure communications, including quantum key delivery, random number generation, sensing, metrology, and quantum computing. It drives research, promotes industry–academia collaboration, and develops solutions to key security and computing challenges. MCQuICC positions India as a leader in the global quantum technology landscape.

  • National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP)
    Continuing the prestigious NCPEDP-Mphasis Universal Design Awards that are given every year on the eve of Independence Day of India to honor individuals and organizations doing exemplary work towards the cause of accessibility and thus ensuring a life of equality and dignity for persons with disabilities.

 


  • Ashoka University
    The Mphasis AI & Applied Tech Lab at Ashoka is a collaboration between Mphasis and Ashoka University, showcasing the synergy of industry and academia. The lab adopts an interdisciplinary approach to address computational challenges, bringing together students and researchers from diverse fields. This inclusive model promotes diversity of thought and encourages collaboration, leading to innovative and impactful solutions.

  • The/Nudge Institute
    Mphasis partners with The/Nudge Institute to drive large-scale livelihood solutions. Its Incubator and Accelerator Program nurtures social entrepreneurs with grants, mentoring, and networking. The Indian Administrative Fellowship enables senior leaders to drive major government programs, influencing ₹500+ crore and impacting millions. The/Nudge Prize rewards scalable solutions to livelihood challenges, focusing in 2024 on the ‘Future of Women in Work’.

  • National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) AT Hub
    The program accelerates AT adoption through five focus areas: supporting startups with funding, mentorship, and market access; building infrastructure via hubs and clusters; shaping policy and standards with government and industry; raising awareness through campaigns; and improving access by working with DPOs and industry to make essential products like wheelchairs, hearing aids, and crutches affordable and widely available.

  • Plaksha University
    The center aims to create an inclusive ecosystem that advances girls and women in STEM. It empowers 300+ women students for corporate careers through skill-building, mentorship, and role models, while engaging 1,000+ students via mentoring walks, hackathons, webinars, and GWiST events. The TrackShift Innovation Challenge further accelerates gender equity by inviting innovative solutions and fostering collaboration.

  • OGQ (Olympic Gold Quest)
    Mphasis partnered with OGQ to prepare para-athletes for the LA 2028 Paralympics by providing world-class training and opportunities to develop skills and adapt to diverse playing styles. OGQ’s mission is to help Indian athletes win Olympic and Paralympic gold medals. In the last four Olympics, 13 of India’s 21 medal winners were supported by OGQ, along with 35 of 48 medals at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympics.

  • Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc)
    The Mphasis Sustainability and Inclusion Lab at the Centre for Society and Policy (CSP), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore aims to address the issues of sustainability and financial inclusion to mitigate systemic risks and reduce the economic shocks experienced by economically vulnerable populations and to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable economy.

  • Museum of Art and Photography (MAP)
    Mphasis supports the MAP in delivering technology-driven immersive art experiences that enhance visitor engagement, promote education, and foster inclusivity. MAP is committed to making art and heritage accessible to diverse audiences and encouraging a culture of museum-going. Its initiatives create opportunities for members to connect, exchange ideas, learn, and discover new prospects within a trusted network.

  • Mphasis e-Pathshala – Navsrishti
    Mphasis e-Pathshala is a scalable model that empowers students, supports teachers, and aligns with the Government’s vision for technology-enabled education. The initiative includes 20 smart classrooms in government schools in Mangaluru, equipped with 65” Interactive Flat Panels, curriculum-aligned digital content for Grades 1–10, and teacher training in digital pedagogy.


Environmental Sustainability

This portfolio consolidates all nature, climate, water, and ecosystem-focused programs under a unified environmental strategy.

 

Programs Include:


  • Afforestation at Doddasagare Botanical Garden
    Mphasis supports planting and maintaining 100,000 trees at Doddasagare Botanical Garden, Karnataka. This initiative aims to restore green cover, improve air quality, and create a sustainable ecosystem that benefits biodiversity and local communities.

  • Conservation of Bodanahosahalli Lake
    Focused on reviving Bodanahosahalli Lake, this program enhances groundwater recharge, supports biodiversity, and aligns with Karnataka’s water security policies. It helps restore ecological balance and provides long-term benefits for agriculture and local livelihoods.

 


  • Mangroves Rewilding
    This project restores 70 acres of mangrove forests along the Kosasthalyar River, Buckingham Canal, and Pulicat Lake. Mangroves act as natural barriers against coastal erosion, improve fish habitats, and play a critical role in carbon sequestration and climate resilience.

  • One Billion Drops
    Aiming to conserve 153 million liters of rainwater by 2026, this initiative involves building 1,200 percolation wells around Bengaluru. It addresses depleting groundwater levels, improves water security, and supports sustainable urban development.

IMPACT REPORTS

In an attempt to understand and evaluate the broader benefits and effectiveness of CSR projects as experienced by the stakeholders, third-party impact assessments are carried out annually. Through these studies and reports, we are able to evaluate the progress made in F1 Foundation’s areas of focus and identify new areas of growth. The CSR impact assessment methodology followed in these studies complies to The Companies (CSR Policy) Amendment Rules 2021 and The Companies Act 2013.
