Program also focuses on building professional skills such as adaptive communication, time management and scenario-based learning.

  • Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management
By investing in the future of Mangaluru's youth—a generation brimming with potential yet lacking the opportunities and exposure needed to fully harness it. The partnership will directly impact 10,000 young minds, including adolescent women, by giving them access to STEM education and empowering them with the skills and confidence to pursue technology and entrepreneurship.

Environmental Sustainability

  • Afforestation at Doddasaggere Botanical Garden
A collaborative effort between Mphasis, the Department of Horticulture, and United Way Bengaluru (UWBe) to establish ecologically diverse and sustainable ecosystems. The project's objective is to enhance the emerging Botanical Garden by planting and nurturing 1 lakh saplings of 77 species. This green intervention is expected to absorb 2.1 million kilograms of carbon and produces 11.1 million Kilograms of oxygen, significantly contributing to climate resilience and environmental sustainability.

  • One Billion Drops
This campaign focuses on harvesting rainwater to recharge Bengaluru's depleted groundwater levels through the construction of percolation wells. Mphasis has supported the construction of 1,338 percolation wells across the city, in strategic location such as major parks and Lalbagh Botanical Garden. These wells have the capacity to conserve 171.4 million liters of rainwater annually.

  • Mangrove Matters
Rewilding 70 acres in Pulicat Lake, the second-largest brackish water body near Chennai, through the plantation of 70,000 mangroves. Mangroves have a carbon sequestration rate that is five to ten times greater than that of mature tropical forests. The project aims to sequester 160 tons of carbon annually. These efforts will bolster coastal protection, enhance biodiversity and fortify shorelines against erosion. Additionally, Mphasis is supporting the plantation of 100 associated flora saplings at the project site to further balance and enrich the ecosystem.

  • Wake the Lake
Mphasis has supported the rejuvenation of Mahadevapura and Dommasandra Lake in Bengaluru which has successfully restored water quality, created a microclimate for aquatic flora and fauna, and enhanced biodiversity. These efforts align with key SDGs - 11, 13, 14, 15, and 17 and help to contribute to water conservation, increase green cover, and enhance biodiversity within the city.
