BUSINESS OBJECTIVE

 

To be the first Indian food and recipe provider to utilize Alexa skill for Echo Spot, leveraging our digital and artificial intelligence space expertise. It allows users to search a recipe by ingredients or recipe name. They can also listen to the recipe details including ingredients and cooking steps.

SOLUTION

 

Mphasis designed and built the conversation interface, partnering with Amazon and Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s team, to allow users to search recipes by name or ingredients. Using our expertise in Alexa Skill Kit and Voice Design, we created conversational UI design process for Natural Language interactions. It included:

  • Extracting tacit knowledge of pain points from users and key stakeholders through user research and discovery
  • Defining suitable use cases
  • Identifying repeat users, understanding the value they will extract from the chat bot to build on that value and grow adoption
  • Conducting comprehensive analysis of chat bots to match the capabilities to solution needs
  • Training the bot
  • Repeating cycles of user testing and observations to improve usability and drive adoption of the bot
