The need was to create periodic reports that highlight corporate cultures of various organizations. An important aspect of these reports was to identify employees’ key cultural values. The objectives were as follows:
• Identify the prominence of nine most important corporate cultural values in free text employee reviews (from company surveys and employee review sites like Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.).
• Show accurately and transparently the reasons for corporate values identification.
A review analysis and a natural language processing-based classification system was developed to identify the cultural attributes and their ranking of prominence. The classification system categorized the reviews against the 9 most important corporate culture values. A local explainability framework was deployed to highlight keywords in the reviews which were used by the models for classification and ranking.
Achieved an accuracy of more than 80% in classifying and ranking the reviews in different culture classes along with the confidence score of the classes.
Ability to determine if the predicted class for the low confidence instances were correct and update the wrong ones.
Facilitated employee engagement efforts targeted at boosting specific corporate cultural values, resulting in better ROI for the initiatives.
