THE CHALLENGE

The client had been using their mainframe system for a long time, and it was reaching the end of its life. They wanted to ensure a smooth transition for both the system and its users. However, some features on the existing system were native, so the client wanted them to be included in the new tool. Additionally, due to the criticality of the situation, the client decided to keep the same look and feel to avoid the need for retraining their user group. The mainframe system had limitations due to the technology used, which needed to be fixed in the new version of the tool running on AWS. This was a critical challenge for the team as it required them to retain similar features while making enhancements to create a perfect blend of the old and the new.
